I have a better idea!! Lets compare numbers since your GOD K has been coaching college basketball and compare it to the standard in Chapel Hill. Since he's the almighty according to Duke fans like yourself lets see how those numbers look! Waiting...........

Here's a modest hint for you... Duke fans don't speak with a homogeneous voice. If you want to debate the standard of using rings as a measure of relevance with me please do so with my statements, not others.
In any event it's probably safer ground for you than discussing how, when looking at the players that both schools have put in the league in the post-Dean era:
40 pt. games - Duke 8, UNC 0
NBA ROY - Duke 2, UNC 0
All-Star Selections - Duke 7, UNC 0
Of all the players both schools currently have in the league:
5 out of the top 6 leading scorers are Dukies.
4 out of the top 5 leading rebounders are Dukies.
3 out of the top 5 leading assist men are Dukies.
Fantasy league points generated (based off actual stats) - Duke 7563.1, UNC 5833.3 (updated to show the widening gap)

K has never produced a stud at the pro level that could take his team to the promised land. The best hope for K and the very desperate Duke nation is Kyrie Irving.......and lets face it, K didn't have time to screw him up since he only played 11 games at Duke. That's actually kind of funny.....the best player ever for Duke barely even played their!!
Bottom line......no competition between the two programs all time in the NBA! Next........

But you dookies were the ones who said that winning rings was the most relevant criteria.
Battier won his 2nd ring in 2 years last year. Nothing more relevant than winning rings...

Yes, it works to tell you that counting championship rings is a poor measure of the quality of play for a player. Rank the players - Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Adam Morrison, and Karl Malone... remember Adam's got two rings!!!
By every meaningful measure Duke has better players in the pros right now than UNC. By every meaningful measure the gap is even bigger when you look at players in the post-Dean era.
BTW - Kyrie dropped 40 last night for the second time this season. He did it twice the year before as well. Boozer did it once in both the 2007 and 2008 seasons. Brand did it in 2006. Deng dropped 40 in a game in 2011.
No UNC player joining the league since the 1999-2000 season has scored 40 points in a game.
Duke - 8
UNC - 0

Yet in that the same time period you reference (after Dean) dook has only one player as well. See how that works.

Yep, 27 from the Dean Smith era and before and 1 since then. Like I said, it was a wonderful past but your now is not so good.
NBA Rookies of the Year since 2000 - Duke 2, UNC 0

You know you've won when they respond to facts with personal attacks.

Kato, your kids are crying every month when they have to pay those huge student loans.

Here's the info on the 3 dookies...
Jeff Mullins: non-starter for Golden State '75 (coached by Al Attles)
Danny Ferry: bench-warmer for San Antonio '03 (coached by Greg Popovich)
Wrinkle-Head: suitcase holder for Miami/LeBron '12,'13 (coached by Eric Spoelstra)
UNC data considerably more difficult to capture here...but readers get the drift.
