Seth Curry had one of the most efficient games in summer league history on Sunday, scoring 26 points on 7-of-9 from the field with five 3-pointers.

That's an effective field goal percentage of 105.6, which is bonkers. In fact, Stephen Curry has never had a effective field goal percentage of greater than 100 in his career.

You might want to see some Croation basketball this season. I have a gut feeling that watching Spaghetti U could get to be very painful for the faithful.

Nice little pre-season novelty item for Harrison Barnes' Warriors...but I see Sethie playing in Croatia alongside Nolan Smiff before Christmas.

Former Duke Blue Devil Seth Curry is currently trying to achieve his ultimate dream: playing in the NBA. He's getting a chance to try to earn a spot with the Golden State Warriors, playing alongside his superstar brother, Steph (Seth is also currently living with Steph).

Last night was the preseason opener for the Warriors, and it ended with a pretty cool moment. On the final possession of the game, on a broken play where the reserves were doing their best to get on the stat sheet, Seth found himself opener in the corner with time running out. He buried the buzzer beater, and the crowd exploded as if the shot won the game (Seth also received an awesome ovation when he finally checked in with four minutes to play - a nice perk of being related to the star).

But despite the crowd's excitement, the best reaction belonged to Steph Curry, who absolutely geeked out on the bench.

Kind of sounds like a lot of state college fans. They predict the future for things that never happen. Let us know when all of this becomes a reality.

  • Sleehrat Aug 11, 2013

I predict 5-Step Curry will have about as much of an impact on the NBA as poor Nolan Smith has.

    Poor Nolan Smith.

Never did get untangled from underneath that bus.

So you are saying he takes 5 steps every time he has the ball and goes to shoot it.

Or are you saying that the one time he did it and hurt UNCheat so bad that it continues to bother you

I'm saying little Sethy-poo won't have Kiwi to protect him when he takes 5-steps with the ball in the NBA.

He'll get whistled for it every time.

So you are saying NBA refs call traveling more than NCAA refs?

Wow, you really do know nothing about basketball

Btw, Seth can't hurt UNCheat anymore.

  • Sleehrat Aug 11, 2013

Yep, especially when he's allowed to take 5 steps with the ball before launching one of his treys.

Don't think the NBA refs are going to let him get away with that, though. They're not afraid of Kiwi like the NCAA refs were.

I did had a hardy laugh at this one. Truth. Dell Curry was a Hokie. There's some strong genes in this family. I don't believe that he will do what his older brother has done, but I wish him the best. He needs strength training, and stay healthy. He can shoot the pill--for sure. Defense and moving his feet is the key for him.

Just because the NBA has been unkind to Hanstravel (the bull in the china shop), that does not foretell the future for more athletic individuals such as Seth Curry. You see Seth came from a family that is agile on their feet while Hanstravel came from a lineage that is agile on their..........well thanks to know .....nuff said.

The Spurs could use a dependable outside threat that won't choke on the big 'un.

If they had Curry this year they would probably have been NBA champions instead of Shane and the boys.

Curry will find a spot on a roster! May replace Green on the Spurs or backup Henderson for the Bobcats. Both roles would be great and one's that he certainly could excell in.

"It's my home," Curry said. "This is where I grew up. I would love to come back here [to Charlotte] and play."

And of course, with head coach Greg Popovich's knack for developing role players, don't count the Spurs out either. The defending Western Conference champs could see Curry as a player who could provide energy off the bench, and although Curry is a bit undersized to play off-guard in the NBA, Popovich could try to tap into Curry's shooting potential to give San Antonio another weapon.

Curry will definitely be one of the more interesting stories to follow throughout the summer. As the start of training camps draw nearer, it is possible Curry could have quite a decision to make.

  • 903 PJ suspended til NCAA clears Aug 7, 2013
Sports Legend nagging ankle injury did not stop Seth Curry from scoring 17.5 points per game and shooting 43.8 percent from beyond the arc during his senior season at Duke. But offseason surgery to repair that ankle ultimately kept Curry out of predraft workouts, killed the shooting guard's chances of being selected in the NBA draft and even prevented him from participating in summer league.

But Curry finally appears to be healthy, and teams are not ignoring the sharpshooter's past performance and NBA pedigree. According to a report from, Curry has already received invitations to join the Minnesota Timberwolves, San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors for training camp. The 6-foot-2 guard will also workout for the Charlotte Bobcats, the team who invited Curry to suit up in the Las Vegas Summer League, in August.

There is no telling how many more offers could pile up for Curry and when NBA training camps open nearly two months from now, but the former Blue Devil already has a number of foreseeable options already. Curry's older brother, Stephen, is a star for the Warriors. His father, Dell, spent 10 of his 15 NBA seasons playing for the Charlotte Hornets, a name which the Bobcats are set to retain at the beginning of the 2014-15 season. Curry also grew up in the Queen City, and mentioned his specific desire to return and play there in his interview with Sporting News.
