Glad to know moving forward that Duke fans consider elite 8's a successful season as I know that I do. However a losing season trumps the bowl game IMO.

Indeed you are correct. I guess its just a UNC obsession.

The reality is that fans of both schools only care about which one is better in basketball. And since the late 80s, Duke has been better...

I, as a Duke fan celebrate successful seasons as a whole. Not much on individual successes, When basketball consistently makes the big dance, that is something to celebrate. When our football team makes a bowl game, as few and far between as that may be, that is a success. Lacrosse championship this year is a success. Beating UNC is just one step towards that success in any sport. I think, and am willing to debate, that basketball is the most or very near the top of successful programs year in and year out.

Serious question.....other than Duke beating Carolina in football for the first time in 20 years and also in basketball twice what has Duke truly accomplished since March of 2012? You sure do pound your chest a lot on these boards boasting about Dukes success so I'm just trying to understand what that is.
