You don't need a "significant center presence" to win in basketball anymore. Look at the Miami Heat...

If we land Okafor, the discussion about a center presence will be null and void.

Sigh.... Looks like more education is needed.... I know you don't "Get It", but this is really becoming embarrassing. You should be paying me for all this education. The NBA not equal to NCAA, and is an apples to oranges comparison.

Beside, the Heat gets 53 minutes, on average, from their 3 centers, all of which would have a significant center presence for us, and Yes, when they were of college age.

    Any other wild hairs?

Their centers are power forwards playing the 5 because Lebron can't play the 4 and 5 at the same time. And I don't know if you've noticed (probably because your team has only played Oakland), but the NCAA has introduced new rules that are making the college game more like the NBA than the old college game...

You guys are doing something right. You have more titles and wins then anybody the last 25 years or so. Running a clean program along the way also. You have this UNC Grad jealous!!

Sorry bout dat sassie but with or without PJ you ain't even close to a title contender. The closest ya'll will come to a title contender is when you play one.

Oh.. so we can add LeBron's 36 minutes to the totals. Even more embarrassment.

Oh... and to add to that... I was unaware that the shot clock was changed, and zone defenses are disallowed in the NCAA. Oh, BTW... the NBA doesn't call the hand check like the NCAA does this year.

Please keep the comments coming... I feel like Mutombo on a geico commercial.. HA HA HA HA

My fellow UNC Grad, i don't think we should mention the word "zone defenses" while talking junk to our rivals.

Remember that egg we laid with our "HOF" coach? (lol).

No, because Lebron (not LeBron) plays the 4... The other guys aren't true centers either.

I was unaware that the shot clock was changed, and zone defenses are disallowed in the NCAA.

zones are allowed in both leagues but not used very often in either with the exception of a Cuse team and a few Big 10 teams. No NBA teams play zone because the shooters are too good. and with the new rules points of emphasis to eliminate hand checking in college, the shot clock being decreased is the next change that will be proposed and passed since it's more like the NBA already.

Because i stated facts about the past 25 years? This sounds like something my UNC Wal-mart fans would say. Don't worry my brother, things will get better for us once Roy is gone. Trust me.

  • dukefanv12 Nov 15, 2013

Wow... Zone defense was outlawed in the NBA in 1947, Jan 11, to be precise.

You might want to brush up on those details, before you sound more like that supposed heelgrad....

Here's one fact that I know you are wrong. I am in no way affilated with UNC.

My Kid may go to State, but I can forgive her for that. (it is a better engineering school)

You stated I was a UNC grad. That is a slap to my face. So... who (you) attacked who(me) first, and who(me) defended himself against the slander?

You called me a troll for stating the fact that Duke is hands down the best program the last 25 years in basketball if you go by facts. Just because I am a UNC fan doesn't mean I am not fair to the truth or put blindfolds up. I am a proud Grad, but I am an honest Grad first.

I thought they brought it back. You do have to be carefully of the paint though in the NBA while on Defense.
