On a serious note. If duke don't land these two players there is a good chance that y'all will suck to the high heavens next year with Parker,Hood, and Cook leaving and no top notch players to replace them sets up for the worst season in 30 years for the Devils!

And don't forget about paying them for four years.

Love to get both these guys, that being said I am sick of the one and done talent. I really like when K gets a chance to take upper to mid-range talent and can groom them for four years. that's how we won our last title...

Yeah, I don't really see us as a major contender for Myles Turner (#2, Center) unless Okafor and Alexander pick Kansas. So there's not a ton of high-end talent, but we can't forget about Justise Winslow.

If SF Stanley Johnson picks Arizona on Friday, and Okafor/Jones pick Duke -- this bodes very well for Dukes chances with Winslow. He is close friends with Okafor/Jones and Arizona is seen as Duke's biggest competition. Johnson would step in as an elite SF, which may deter Winslow from picking Arizona.

point is....we dont land them, not much top level talent out there left and we usually have some signed already. we just have Allen so far.

but also i read that after friday like 90 of the top 100 will be signed.....the record for most at this early in the recruiting season

There really is no way of knowing, obviously, but in the end I just think of Tyus Jones and Jahlil Okafor as DUKE guys. High on academics, played for Team USA, love great coaching, hard workers, and great ball players. Coach K also has a pretty nice track record with Chicago recruits.

I think we get both. Last week, I would've said Kansas. But the chatter in Chicago on Tuesday was very strong with Okafor to Duke. Also, all of the Minnesota area analysts are confident with saying Jones to Duke. Late crystal ball trends tend to be more accurate, especially when people are changing picks from their original choice instead of just taking a guess. Lastly, having Jabari Parker probably coming back for his Sophomore season helps a lot with Okafor.

I truly feel like we'll get both of them. The stars are aligning

Not necessarily. There are still players out there that could flip or add Duke to their lists if Okafor and Jones decide to go to KU. And Coach K can also find a fifth-year transfer that would be eligible immediately. There were a bunch of those this past summer.

But yes, obviously the class is better if they get #1 and #4...

always a bad recruiting class if you do not land ANY

THat is quite a bit of analysts predicting Duke, and several of them have made updated predictions AFTER the duke and kansas game. This would be huge, what do you think BlueDevil? Do we land one or both, or none at all??

It's long been thought that Duke was a clear leader for Jones. His mother literally wears Duke gear to all of his High School and AAU games and has made it clear that Duke is her #1 choice. The question was always with Okafor -- would he buy into Duke's development of big men? Duke hasn't received a major Center recruit since Mason Plumlee in 2008. If the duo decided to split, it looked like Okafor would be the one not attending Duke.

The fact that they are 100% together is a GREAT sign for Duke. A person I spoke with who is VERY close to the Duke program says the staff is very, very confident that Jones will be coming to Duke.

If they decide on Duke, it will be the single biggest recruiting day in Duke Basketball history. It will make Duke the preseason #1 team for next year (regardless of who leaves/returns) and give Coach K the #1 recruiting class. These players are on a Randle/Parker/Wiggins type of level. Landing both of them would be absolutely absurd.

    Let's hope for the best!

Tyus Jones blog also released today: http://socialhub.usatodayhss.com/blogs-main/staffblogs/item/1122-tyus-jones-jahlil-okafor-decision-blog

And yes, me and my boy Jahlil (Okafor) are definitely still going to the same school. That's 100 percent. We've always said that we were gonna play together in college and we haven't wavered on it. We're announcing together, but I don't know if it'll be split-screen or what. I don't have those details.

With all announcements, rumors are starting to leak out and it looks like DUKE is in a great position to land to dynamic duo tomorrow.

http://beforeitsnews.com/sports/2013/11/jahlil-okafor-and-tyus-jones-very-likely-headed-to-duke-blue-devils-2539018.html -- Chatter at the United Center for Tuesdays Duke game (which was in Okafor's hometown of Chicago) indicated Okafor has decided on Duke.

http://247sports.com/PlayerInstitution/Jahlil-Okafor-at-Whitney-Young-28479/Predictions -- The latest crystal ball trends show a good number of analysts changing their prediction from Kansas to Duke.

The players have maintained 100% they are committed to attending the same school.

It's almost here. Tomorrow at 4pm EST the top Center and top Point Guard in the class of 2014 will announce their college destination.

By now, you know who they are and how special they are. Jahlil Okafor is an absolute oak tree, standing 6'10" and solidly built, he has drawn Tim Duncan comparisons due to his fundamental low-post scoring and is the best rated big man since High School phenom Greg Oden. Tyus Jones is a crafty 6'2" PG that plays the game similar to Chris Paul. He has an uncanny ability to lead a team and see plays before they develop. Okafor is the #1 Overall prospect in the class, while Tyus Jones is #4.
