This is a tough game to pick, kinda like the Super Bowl. The difference in their national rankings is not an accurate indicator of how close they are in coaching and roster talent. Syracuse is favored, but they've looked mortal in games against Wake and Pitt. If Syracuse does win, it will be in single digits. Whatever the outcome of this game, Duke will win the rematch in Cameron.

Hoping for a W but it will be a tough hill to climb. Every Duke player will have to bring their A game to pull it off. The way Duke's overall play has improved, I like their chances better now than I did a couple weeks ago. All factors and probabilities considered, I give Cuse the nod by 5.

I don't think we'll see the 10 man rotation against Cuse. Against Pitt, we had 5 players at 27 min+, 3 at 12 to 15 min, and Jones and Hairston only getting 4 or 5 min each and I think Coach K may even make the rotation shorter since Cuse's zone and decent ballhandling will definitely slow down the game tempo. Duke just has to be strong with the ball and keep penetrating the lane and finding the open men after Jabari or Hood go off for 12-15 points in the first half and force Cuse to focus on the hot hand opening things up for the other scorers...

Cuse wins, going away (double-digits).

It's time for Syracuse to lose a game. If anyone can do it; Duke has a good shot. I told a guy at the gym this morning if Duke can have a solid shooting night, they could pull the win. I really hope that they can win this one. Parker needs a strong outing. Dawkins could be the X factor.

The top 4 of Syracuse's starting 5 play 32+ minutes a game with the rotation using 7 players, which is fine with a zone style defense because you don't run as much, thus don't get as tired. HOWEVER, facing Dukes full court, all-out attacking defensive pressure using 10 players will wear them down and Duke will break away in the last 10 minutes of the game. Duke has several very good short/mid range shooters, which is one of a zone's weakness. Rebounds come off a bit softer on the mid range (harder on the 3) allowing more offensive rebounds.
Barring a poor shooting night, Duke's D wins the game by 10 late in the second half.
