We would have put our flag at half staff in Chapel Hill but my fellow fans/draft dodgers/Grads have burned them all already. smh.

It's strange. I've been working here in the Triangle for years. I'm in higher level academics, working closely with Duke, UNC, and NCSU. I work closely with the student bodies of all three schools. I literally know of no one from Duke that's from New Jersey. Nor have I met any Duke students from New Jersey. If anything, there are a lot of students from Florida, New York, New Hampshire, Maryland, and Connecticut. Very few from New Jersey that I've met.

Guess that's just a perception.....like The Carolina Way perception. The latter perception was shattered to oblivion recently. I'm sure the former will too. Silly Tar Holes....judging people on their race, nationality, sexuality and gender. Very shameful. But what would expect from a school that gives away free grades.

Did I hear chants from the Greensboro coliseum yesterday of "GO BACK TO JERSEY!!"?

Sounded like it. It made me grin real big.

To quote Aristophanes (an Athenian comic playwright from around 380 BCE for those with UNC degrees).....

“Youth ages, immaturity is outgrown, ignorance can be educated, and drunkenness sobered, but stupid lasts forever.”

Unfortunately, many UNC fans, students and graduates (NOT all of them!!) have reduced themselves and their self-worth to a mere shadow, desperately mimicking the once lauded image of The Carolina Way. Their only recourse is bitterness, idleness, and petty-jealousy. I, along with much of the sports world and many in academic circles pity them.

No. What you heard was "go back to the ghetto". It was the hybrid unc/UVa fans using their old Maryland cheer sheets.
