Really? I don't see where Shaka said that in the article. Can you please point it out to us?

Or are you just lying again?

so you're saying you agree with shaka smart and disagree with coach K? that the A-10 is just as good as the ACC?

    Liar...

    http://bustingbrackets.com/2014/03/16/acc-atlantic-10-get-number-bids-please/

When you look at head to head matchups this year, the conferences ended up 8-8. But that number is deceiving. Only 1 of those wins by the A-10 was against a top-tier ACC school when VCU beat Virginia. In contrast, the ACC’s 8th ranked team, Florida State, defeated VCU and UMass, 2 of the Top 5 teams in the A-10.

Second, how did these 2 conferences do against other power conferences? When you look at how the 2 conferences did against the conferences with 6 NCAA bids or more, the ACC’s record was 25-23. The A-10′s record was a dismal 11-20. And again, the A-10 played a lot of the lower tier teams in those conferences. The ACC has 4 teams ranked in the Top 25, including 2 in the Top 10. The A-10 has 2 teams in the Top 25.

Third, let’s look at recent NCAA Tournament history. The A-10 had a nice run via VCU in 2011 when they made the Final Four. That’s only the second time any team even made it to the Final Four from the A-10 since UMass in 1996. How has the ACC done in the NCAA Tournament recently? How about 6 National Champions and 12 Final Four participants since 2000?

So because K said it, you are going to agree with a coach from another conference.
And why does one article say this?

When you look at head to head matchups this year, the conferences ended up 8-8. But that number is deceiving. Only 1 of those wins by the A-10 was against a top-tier ACC school when VCU beat Virginia. In contrast, the ACC’s 8th ranked team, Florida State, defeated VCU and UMass, 2 of the Top 5 teams in the A-10.

So is it 8-2 or 8-8 and if you think the A-10 is as good or better than the ACC, good for you. We all know you hate K and Duke, but to stick up for the A-10 vs the ACC, that is just sad.

Saw some big wins for the A-10 against the ACC.

BC a few times, Clemson, VT, Miami, an FSU.

Didnt see any against Syracuse, Duke or Virginia(one).

Almost reminds me of your 12 game winning streak. Two wins against NCAA tourney teams and the rest against the bottom of the league.

In response to coach k(oward)'s comments about the A-10, Smart said a coach lobbying for his league is one thing, but taking shots at another league "is low-level."

    He also said
"There's a level of bias that comes into play that you shouldn't even make those comments. Secondly, coaches are too busy to be an authority on someone else's conference."

the Atlantic 10's potential tournament teams had against the ACC

What a stupid claim. So their best teams had an 8-2 record against all of another conferences teams including the cellar dwellars....yeah, that proves the A-10 is better (who cares about how the non-potential tournament teams did... they don't count since they weaken the argument)...

K thinks the ACC is great because they lost to Wake, Clemson, and Dame. K schedule some A-10 teams AWAY from the sweat box. I dare you!! Shaka was taking up for his conference like K was trying to convince Duke fans he was doing the same. Guess he is not suppose to respond because its K?

Meh, hold on there Sparky. Smart has turned down several other "opportunities"....including Cow Yow to coach state college's bassetball team. But he is the No. 1 candidate for the vacancy at Wake Forest currently..... the job is his if he wants it. I wonder how many cows will be mysteriously blown up in the fields if Smart takes the Wake job, LOLOLOLOLOLOLz.

Back on point....um, yeah, Rat was quite a dirtwad when he directly referenced the A10 by name. Good to see him get called out on it.... might be the first signs of senility ;)
