FINAL: Duke 91, Wake 73

With the 18-point win, Duke extends their home winning streak to 45 games.

3:52 2nd; Duke 86, Wake 64

Duke officially in cruise control. The game has turned more into 'let's get out of here' than it has 'let's get it going'. Slower possessions, nothing from range.

6:48 2nd; Duke 81, Wake 55

Josh Hairston contributes a bucket to become the seventh Duke player to score. All-around dominating performance by Duke, well on their way to a 16-2, 4-0 start.

7:55 2nd: Duke 78, Wake 53

Yet again, Wake goes to a TV timeout with a turnover - their third time doing so tonight.

Dawkins (21), Curry (14), Kelly (19) and Rivers (18) all in double digits. Mason Plumlee (4) and Cook (2) only other Duke players to score.

10:00 2nd; Duke 71, Wake 49

Rivers banks home a three to extend the lead to 22. That is the 10th three for Duke on the game - Rivers has three, Dawkins with 7.

Duke starting to dominate boards with nearly a double digit advantage.

15:46 2nd; Duke 57, Wake 37

Rivers gets the second half start for Duke over Cook. Nothing fancy on the part of either team to open the second half.

Curry the hot hand for Duke out of intermission and now has 12 points. Wake turned it over for the ninth time as the game went to the Under 16.

HALF: Duke 45, Wake 32

Seven three's by Dawkins really say it all. Combine that with 10 points from Kelley off the bench and holding the edge in both rebounds and turnovers and the 13-point margin is not surprising.

Wake having moderate success in transition and on back-cuts. Deacons 0-for-6 from three point range.

4:19 1st; Duke 37, Wake 21

For the second time tonight, Bzdelik calls a timeout with seconds before a TV timeout because of a Dawkins three.

Dawkins already has five three pointers and Duke is six for their last seven from deep after starting 0-for-4.

8:00 1st; Duke 28, Wake 16

Ryan Kelley has gone into beast mode inside with Dawkins and Rivers each contributing from distance.

Duke had one bad turnover on a forced pass inside that led to back-to-back Wake baskets, but other than that the Blue Devils have been smart and under control on both ends.

11:56 1st; Duke 18, Wake 9

Andre Dawkins finds net from deep to bring the Cameron crowd to life. Loudest they have been so far. Wake Forest coach Jeff Bzdelik forced to call a timeout just in front of the under-12.

As the game moves below 12, Duke shooting an impressive 8-for-13 from the floor and dictating nearly all facets of the game.

14:19 1st; Duke 12, Wake 9

In the first five-plus minutes both teams are quiet from outside but hitting their shots inside. Duke is 6-of-7 and Wake 4-of-6 inside the arc.

The pace and feel are swayed in Duke's favor early on.

Tied as the most played rivalry in the ACC, the Duke Blue Devils and Wake Forest Demon Deacons will add another chapter to a storied history, when the two teams collide in Durham this evening for a conference showdown at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The fourth-ranked Blue Devils have won 44 consecutive games at Cameron Indoor Stadium and have won 63 straight games at home against unranked opponents. Duke is 15-2 on the season and has posted three straight wins overall, following last weekend's 73-66 road win at Clemson. With the victory, Mike Krzyzewski's squad moved to 3-0 in ACC play.

Jeff Bzdelik's reign in Winston-Salem has been a work in progress. After a really poor debut campaign last year. the team has made some strides in 2011-12 and currently sits three games over .500 at 10-7. However, the Demon Deacons have hit a tough patch, with losses in two straight and three of their last four games overall. Wake's last contest resulted in a 76-40 whipping at the hands of NC State. This series dates back to 1906 and this matchup will be the 235th meeting all- time. Duke has won three straight overall in the series and 12 straight in Durham.

The Demon Deacons never led against NC State this past weekend and were routed by 36 points. C.J. Harris led the team with 10 points. Ty Walker finished with eight points and seven rebounds, but the team shot just 29.1 percent from the floor, including an ugly 2-of-20 showing from three-point range. To make matters worse, Wake committed 17 turnovers that the Wolfpack turned into 26 points. The Demon Deacons own a -1.7 scoring margin, certainly not a recipe for success. A lack of depth at the offensive end is the primary culprit. The team does possess a dynamic scoring duo in C.J. Harris (17.3 ppg) and Travis McKie (17.1 ppg). Tony Chennault gives the team a third option at the offensive end (10.6 ppg), but the scoring pool dries up in a hurry after that.

The Blue Devils employ a balanced offensive attack. They have had four or more double-figure scorers on 10 different occasions this year. Overall, the team ranks among the nation's most productive offensive squads, ranking 14th in scoring (80.3 ppg), 12th in field-goal percentage (.496) and 13th in three- point accuracy (.402). Freshman guard Austin Rivers has made an immediate impact, pacing the team with 13.8 ppg. Seth Curry (12.5 ppg) and Ryan Kelly (12.1 ppg) add to the perimeter assault, as both are shooting over 40 percent from behind the arc. Mason Plumlee is the resident muscle down low, averaging a near double-double with 11.7 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. In the win over Clemson, the Blue Devils proved their depth. as Andre Dawkins had the hot hand, coming off the bench to lead all scorers with 24 points. Mason Plumlee added 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Quinn Cook chipped in 10 points.

The Blue Devils are just about unbeatable at home. With the Demon Deacons struggling to put points on the scoreboard, the chances of Duke's lengthy win streaks ending this evening are remote at best.

Good game men!Now lets get ready for Saturday......

RE: Duke up 45-32 on Wake Forest at half

Coach K is still coaching with the intensity that he had when he was 30 years old. I just watched him on the bench at the time-out by Wake. Amazing how he does this all of the time.

RE: Duke up 45-32 on Wake Forest at half

Dawkins is disconscious!

RE: Duke looks to continue home streak

Duke has had some ups and downs, but they know how to win games. When someone has an off night shooting someone steps up to hit big baskets. Austin did this with lights-out shooting the last game. Duke, UNC, UVA, and possibly FSU will battle it out until the ACC tourney. If FSU could shoot a little better they could be a dangerous team. How can they play such great defense and have off-on shooting? They had it clicking on offense against UNC.
