Durham, N.C. — Duke head football coach David Cutcliffe announced on Thursday that freshman defensive end Allen Jackson underwent successful surgery to repair a 360-degree labral tear in his right shoulder.
The procedure was performed on Wednesday by Dr. Claude T. Moorman III, Duke’s head team physician and the director of Duke Sports Medicine.
Jackson, a 6-5, 235-pound native of Ellicott City, Md., matriculated to Duke last month after graduating from McDonogh High School.
