Duke hoops land top forward Ojeleye

— Semi Ojeleye, a 6-foot-6 forward from Ottawa, Kan., and highly-touted national recruit, has given Duke a verbal commitment.

Ottawa High School Athletic Director Brad Graf said that Ojeleye made his verbal commitment known Sunday after an in-home visit by Duke head coach Mike Krzyzeweski.

Ojeleye posted a tweet from his account Sunday night "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, Rejoice!" and used the hashtag "#DukeNation."

Ojeleye is a five-star recruit according to Scout.com and a Top-40 recruit according to ESPN.

The nod by Ojeleye gives Duke their second prominent recruit of the upcoming class after also getting a verbal commitment last November from shooting guard Matt Jones from DeSoto, Texas. Duke Logo More Duke Stories

Ojeleye is tabbed as an athletic player who can play both small and power forward positions but needs to work on aggressiveness around the rim. He has been noted for his ability to play the perimeter as a forward and shoot the three-point shot.

    Woop! Woop! K's still got it! Now, regarding Lance Thomas. Here's my analogy for tarhole fans coming out of the closets everywhere: 1 mediocre player doing something outside of school, not involving school but involving a personal purchase < years of dadburn fraud between school administration, academic AND athletic departments. Nuff said.

    No way, that would be too harsh. I would bet they will get the results of the NCAA 2012 tournament stricken from the records. And so will Duke's opponent in the NCAA appearance.

    If the NCAA is consistent, and Duke gets a punishment relative to what Carolina got, then Duke will lose one scholarship for one year, and have to vacate one of their preseason wins from last season.

    or maybe he's thinking this incident is really nothing which is why he had no problem going ahead and commiting now.
