Durham, N.C. — Duke redshirt junior defensive end Justin Foxx underwent surgery Tuesday on a ruptured ligament in his right finger according to the university.
Foxx started each of Duke’s first two games this season, recording eight tackles and 1.5 sacks. The Charlotte native has tallied 60 tackles, eight tackles for loss, four and a half sacks, and one forced fumble in 24 games - 11 starts.
No timetable for his return has been set.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Dave Ruch, a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of Duke’s Orthopaedic Hand Service.
