On Tuesday, Duke's Kyle Singler will discuss his NBA future on a conference call with his family in Oregon, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and Blue Devil assistant Steve Wojciechowski.

He had a brief conversation with Krzyzewski on Monday.

"I'll definitely have to listen to what Coach has to say," Singler told his home state paper, The Oregonian. "A lot of it will be based on that."

Singler said he will likely make a decision this week whether or not he will enter the NBA draft early or return to Duke for his senior season.

"I'll probably declare or not," he said. "I don't want to test the waters. I don't see any value in that."

If Singler doesn't feel he is a first round pick, he won't enter the draft. "Really, if there was any chance of going in the second round, why would you even go?" said Singler, who averaged 17.7 points and 7.0 rebounds this season.

Kyle's father, Ed has been told that his son's stock has risen since being named the most outstanding player in the Final 4 but there are still questions. "From what I'm hearing, his athleticism is in question, because he's not a super-high leaper," Ed Singler explained to The Oregonian. "But he's just got tremendous will and fire, and I think that would really come out in individual workouts. I think his stock can really go up."

Underclassmen have until April 25 to submit their names for the June 24 draft. The deadline for withdrawing from the draft is May 8.

certainly defense wins championship for those teams that cant just run the other team offensively off the floor ie: Carolina 2009.

And I will gladly make my same arguments to them...Who had it tougher then? Name one team other than the one we beat for the title

Kansas, Kentucky, Syracuse just to name a few. Pretty much any team outside dook's bracket which was unanimouisly deemed the weakest

How did Kansas have it tougher? They couldn't even get past Northern Iowa who whoever it was. Syracuse couldn't even beat Butler (but we sure did) Kentucky breezed through the East until they met a WV team we literally destroyed even before Butler went down. Weak, Weak, Weak argument

word up player...beating cinderellas doesnt mean anything. those teams had the game of a lifetime to advance and then went back to normal afterwards and lost. I've given props to Dook for not having an off game like the others but the couple game sDook couldnt hit anything, the other team went cold too. lucky all day (which doesnt change the fact they won)...but still weak

All I have to say to this is DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS, and that's why those teams were cold, every post game interview after the tourny all the players keep saying "give their defense credit they took us out our game and that's why we weren't hitting shots"!!!!

RE: Singler likely to make NBA decision this week

By the end of the week, Kyle will understand why he'll be returning to Duke in 2011. Can we all say late first round at best. Following is ESPN's take following the NCAA tournament. I've reviewed all of the mock drafts that are out there & they all say the same thing...early 2nd round to very low 1st round. I'll not go into the list of players here but just look at his competition...it's a no brainer. Kyle, stick it out one more year, be part of history by winning back-to-back NCAA Championships, then be a Top 5 pick in 2012.

" spoke with a number of GMs on Monday; most of them still have questions about Singler. They wonder who he'll guard in the NBA. They question his toughness. They doubt he's athletic enough. But with all of that said, virtually all of them said they were impressed with his whole body of work -- not just in the tournament, but over the past month or so.

The word on the street is that his people are already talking to agents. Where will he go? Anywhere between the late first round to the second if he's in the draft."
