Durham Bulls seeking National Anthem performers

Durham, N.C. — The Durham Bulls will hold auditions March 16 to pick National Anthem performers for the 2013 regular season, the team announced Thursday. 

The first-come, first-sing auditions will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on the outdoor stage adjacent to Southpoint Cinemas and the Cheesecake Factory at the Streets at Southpoint. 

Singers will register on site and be able to leave following their audition. Team officials will contact the winners and select dates for performances following the auditions. 

Singers must complete the anthem in 90 seconds or less and perform it in a traditional style, the team said.
