—  The Durham Bulls will hold auditions in March to pick national anthem performers for the 2014 season, the team announced Thursday.

Auditions will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 15 at the outdoor stage adjacent to Southpoint Cinemas at The Streets at Southpoint in Durham.

Participants may register upon arrival to perform on a first-come, first-sing basis. Team officials will contact the winners and select dates for them to perform during the season.

Singers must complete the anthem in 90 seconds or less and perform it in a traditional style, the team said.

Glad to see that some want to hear the song as written now some rock or swing style. If I hear any performer do it their way you can be sure I will not buy any product they endorse or pay to see any of their work
