What do you guys think about the new CUSA additions?
I am not really thrilled about it, but it would certainly be nice to play some games that I can drive to.
I heard that Middle Tennesse St University and Western Kentucky are the most likely to be added next. If I recall correctly, I have heard that CUSA was going to stop at 16.
I have also heard that MountUSA won't be a merger now. It sounds like it is going to be a partnership or alliance of sorts.
What do my fellow Pirates think about all of this?
RE: What do you guys think about the new CUSA additions?
Not thrilled is an understatement. I think if that's the direction the conference is taking, ECU would be better served by cobbling together a conference with the eastern teams in this group, and forget about Texas.
Here's my ten team league.
ECU, Southern Miss, UAB, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Florida International, Appalachian State, Old Dominion and Charlotte.
You could drive to a lot of those. Throw in schools like UNC, State, South Carolina, West Virginia, Navy and VaTech out of conference and you have a respectable schedule.

The new C-USA is going to have east and west divisions that will make travel easier than the old C-USA model.
