You were certainly right about the shootout. But didn't the Pirates have something to play for? Unless I'm mistaken, if UAB wins tomorrow, ECU is in the championship game.

WhoooWeeee- 65-59 No exactly a defensive struggle but I'll take it! 8-4 and they never gave up in this one.

There is no way UAB beats UCF. If UCF loses to UAB then they definitely are not fit to play for the CUSA title game. UCF should win by at least 30 points.

If the upset happened I would not be confident going to Tulsa being that Marshall put up 633 yards of offense on our defense. 419 passing and 237 rushing. Tulsa has a decent defense and a powerful offense. I think if we played them we would get clobbered. If we beat Tulsa, then my tune about Ruff as the HC would start to change being that he beat a well rounded team.

Would you have guessed SMU would knock off Tulsa? As of 7:13 tonight there are 69 teams eligible for 70 bowl slots. There are five teams who still have a shot. One of them is Rice. If they beat UTEP they're guaranteed a bowl, since C-USA wouldn't have enough teams to meet all its commitments.

Not at all. I wouldn't have thought that houston would hang 72 on SMU when they played a few weeks ago.

70 bowls is a meaningless reward in my book. With so many bowls out there that they would allow 5-7 teams to go is not a reward. It is watered down and no longer a real symbol of success.
