hasn't been that many years ago that they were having to give tickets away for a Thursday night game

I'd chalk it up to home scheduling, we really had no "I've gotta go to that game" type of home games last season. Look on the flip side, when we traveled to play the WolPFack and the Tar Heels, I would bet those games were among their highest for attendance for the season (definitely for UNC, that stadium was/is a ghost town).
Basically, nothing to be concerned about for the Pirates.

When did I become a UNC fan?

I'd venture a guess that I have been as faithful a poster on this forum as anybody. And never in a negative way. My post here wasn't negative either. Seems to me it was a perfectly legitimate question, answered appropriately by another fan. Unlike the State, Carolina and Duke forums, this one has always been more about ECU and less about smack talk by a long shot. Sometimes a question is just a question.

I do find it funny that Ken D. would pose such a question. Being that he is a UNC fan and supporter, they have lied about ticket sales, game attendance, athlete eligibility, athlete academics, etc, etc, etc for so long that no one believes anything they say.

Tell me...UNC had terrible football attendance last year....one of the few capacity games you had was vs. ECU (you're welcome). What's up with that?

As a season ticket holder for 6+ years, my thoughts are that the lame duck year in CUSA put a damper on last year's football season and attendance. While a trend downwards is not a good thing in this context, I wouldn't call it alarming either. Let's see how home attendance is this year and over the next few years to better guage if it's a permanent concern.

I can tell you there is a significant amount of enthusiasm throughout the fanbase for stronger competition, increased media exposure, and a schedule that is more attractive to the casual fan.

    GO PIRATES!

In 2013, ECU's average home attendance dropped by about 3,000 a game over 2012. What's up with that? Goes against everything I've heard about support by Pirate fans.
