Almost as bad as nc state scheduling 4 cupcakes every year OOC in order to make a bowl while winning 2-3 conference games' how embarrassing!

Sad, but necessary. Good man, hood character. However, I thought he was getting another year. What was obvious is that Lincoln Riley is what made us good. We had great talent this year, just no one to coach it.

props to ecu for announcing they would decline a bowl invite, if offered
the greedy ncaa was already in the ridiculous zone allowing 6-6 teams to bowl, now they have gone way too far by allowing losing records into the post-season

Ruff will get two more years. However, He had a talented team this year and could not develop it. We lost a lot of talented seniors. I was at the UC game and the team played flat. The play calling was terrible. With 30 seconds left and the UC running back stopped on first down for no gain, he calls time out. UC only had one time out. They would have been forced to use it. Instead they got two more plays as he used all of his timeouts and got closer for the field goal. They got several more yards and lined up for a straight kick that was barely good. Had it been further back, he would have missed.
I am fine with riding out Ruff's final two years, but I believe it will be painful. This is his third losing season in 6 years of coaching at ECU. It shows you how much Lincoln Riley and even Rick Smith have stopped the ship from sinking. When Riley left the offense imploded.

He is a man of great character and little coaching prowess.

Ruff is going to be fine. The internet doesn't dictate hiring and firing. If the major donors demand a change it might mean some changes in coordinators but he isn't on the hot seat. This was an obvious rebuilding year.

There is blood in the water...sharks are circling Ruffin. Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail and they will give him one more year to right the ship, he deserves that. Unfortunately, he will start next season firmly on the hot seat.

We could have had quite a year. Ruff was booed going into halftime and he told the crowd to shut up, thinking it was directed to the players. It was directed to he and coaching staff. I wasn't there and would not boo anyone except the opposing team. How he could think it was directed to players blows my mind. The offense has been inconsistent all season and seems to be getting worse as the year goes on. Rick Smith is the only reason our team has been in games we have lost. The offense collapses against UConn last week and now USF this week. Being a head coach is a hard job and I do not envy him. He is going to need to pick a starter at QB and stop the two QB system and figure out if our OC is the right man for the position.

ECU at 4-3 has a decent chance to the run the tables from this point forward. Obviously, the Temple game is the biggest game of the regular season. They are undefeated and ranked 22nd. I think ECU keeps it extremely close, especially playing a Thursday night game in Dowdy-Ficklin on national TV, however, I think Temple squeaks one out by 1 or 2 points.

Summers is the QB answer and there is hope that this rebuilding year could yield some positive outcomes. Hopefully there will be no more alternating at the position and Summers goes from start to finish next week at BYU. The AAC is a tough conference so wins aren't going to be easy to come by.

However, It may end up being a season where the alumn and fans need to have patience. That said, Ruffin will still require excellence.
Can't wait to see how this team responds. Good luck to my friends in G-Vegas.
