Would former Clemson coach Tommy Bowden be interested in coaching at East Carolina?
Perhaps.
Bowden, speaking to Adam Gold and Joe Ovies on Friday morning on 620 The Buzz, said he’d be willing to consider a job in Conference USA such as East Carolina.
“If the situation came up and the money’s available to hire a good staff and retain a good them, I’d entertain that.”
Bowden said he wasn’t limiting his interest in being a head coach to schools in BCS conferences. He said leagues like Conference USA and the MAC had “attractive jobs.”
“There are only 119 jobs of this nature in the country,” he said.
Bowden, 55, did say he enjoys speaking and what he is doing now. But he said he enjoyed coaching and had “a pretty good body of work.”
Then he joked, of course, that it wasn’t good enough for Clemson.
