The Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) will team up with military from Ft. Bragg for the 15th annual Operation Toy Drop. Fans are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to the game on Dec. 1 for donation to Operation Toy Drop - an airborne operation that collects thousands of toys annually for area children and families in need of a little help during the holiday season.
The start time for the Dec. 1 game against the Huntsville Havoc starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville.
There will be an Operation Toy Drop ceremony where the team will deliver toys collected by fans to a senior member of the military on the ice during the 2nd intermission.
Fans can donate toys even if they are unable to attend the game by dropping a toy off at the FireAntz office at 220 A N. McPherson Church Road or by visiting www.optoydrop.net to find locations of local drop boxes.
