Todd maintains share of Byron Nelson lead

Irving, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Brendon Todd birdied his final hole Saturday to close out a 2-under 68 and maintain a share of the lead at the Byron Nelson Championship.

Todd, who is winless on the PGA Tour, finished 54 holes at TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas at 10-under-par 200. Former major winner Louis Oosthuizen fired a 6-under 64 during his third round to meet Todd atop the leaderboard.

"There's a lot of golf left, especially around this track. It gets so windy and the key thing is to hit fairways," Oosthuizen said.

James Hahn (65), Gary Woodland (66) and Mike Weir (67) shared third place at 9-under, while Padraig Harrington (66), Graham DeLaet (68) Marc Leishman (68) and Morgan Hoffmann (68) were tied for sixth at minus-8.

Greg Chalmers (65), Boo Weekley (68) and Charles Howell III (69) occupied 10th place at 7-under 203.

Todd entered the day with a 2-shot lead, but Hoffmann quickly cut into that advantage with a birdie at the first.

Todd, however, answered with a 27-foot birdie putt at the third to move to 9- under and reclaim his cushion.

Hoffmann would be joined in second place by DeLaet, Chalmers and Woodland before Hoffman broke from the pack with a birdie at the fourth.

Todd, who was playing along with Hoffmann in the final group, tripped to a bogey at the fourth to drop into a tie for the lead with Hoffmann.

Todd and Hoffmann traded birdies at the fifth to remain tied. Hoffman then rolled in a 4-foot birdie at the par-3 fifth to claim sole possession of first place at 10-under.

Hoffmann would trade a bogey at the eighth with a birdie at the ninth to maintain his 1-stroke advantage at the turn.

Weir, meanwhile, parred his first seven holes before converting four straight birdies from the eighth to race into a share of the lead.

He was handed sole possession of the lead when Hoffman found water off the tee at the 11th en route to a double bogey, leaving Todd in second at minus-9.

After countering a bogey at the 12th with a birdie at the 13th, Weir failed to get up and down for par from a greenside bunker at the 15th to again lose the outright lead and fall into a tie with Todd and Oosthuizen.

Oosthuizen had earlier bogeyed the first and fourth before bouncing back with three straight birdies from the fifth.

A 4-foot birdie at the 10th moved him to 6-under, and he capped another trio of gains at the 14th, 15th and 16th with a 2-putt birdie to reach 9-under.

Oosthuizen later closed his round with a 4-foot birdie putt at the last to claim the clubhouse lead at minus-10.

"I'm playing really well this week," said Oosthuizen. "Today was a good scoring day for me. I didn't start out really well, but it's a great track and it's good to be here."

Hoffman then recovered from his double-bogey with consecutive birdies at the 15th and 16th to grab a share of the lead, but again found water at the 18th before recording another double-bogey to finish at 8-under.

Todd was next to claim a share of the lead when he snapped a streak of 12 straight pars with a short birdie putt at the 18th to reach 10-under.

NOTES: Seventeen-year-old amateur Scottie Scheffler recorded a hole-in-one at the second. He became the fourth amateur to record a hole-in-one on the PGA tour since 1983 ... There was a secondary cut made on Saturday down to 74 players at 2-over-par 212 ... Oosthuizen won the 2010 British Open ... Weir is in search of his first top-10 finish since ending in sixth place at the 2010 Humana Challenge.
