Hurricanes recall Chris Terry from Charlotte

— The Carolina Hurricanes have recalled forward Chris Terry from the Charlotte Checkers on an emergency basis, the team announced Tuesday. 

Terry, 24, has played in eight NHL games this season, averaging 11:38 of ice time per game. He has scored 28 goals and tallied 38 assists in 63 games with the Checkers in 2013-14. 

Forwards Jiri Tlusty and Andrei Loktionov both suffered lower-body injuries in Monday's overtime loss to the Ottawa Senators. 

The Hurricanes complete their road trip on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

    Lower body injuries? One went head first into the boards and the other took a puck to the face...didn't look lower to me. Another ot/so loss... deja vu.
