Hurricanes recall Justin Peters from Charlotte

Raleigh, N.C. — The Carolina Hurricanes have recalled goaltender Justin Peters from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League, the team announced Wednesday.
Peters, 27, was assigned to Charlotte for a conditioning stint on Feb. 19. He was 3-1-1 during the assignment. Peters is 7-9-4 with the Hurricanes in 2013-14 with a 2.5 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage.
The Hurricanes return to Raleigh Wednesday after a five-game road trip and will return to the ice at PNC Arena Friday for a 7 p.m. matchup with the New York Rangers.
The Hurricanes agreed to terms on Tuesday with goaltender Anton Khodobin on a two-year contract. The deal will pay Khodobin $2 million for the 2014-15 season and $2.5 million in 2015-16.
