A smaller, lighter crest on both home and away sweaters. The logo outline was changed from metallic to matte silver finish.
• The warning flag pattern was moved from the base of the sweater to inside the neckline.
• Lettering and numbering changed to a more round, sans-serif font.
• The shoulder patches were removed from both sweaters.
The Hurricanes logo and bottom black band were removed from the pants, and glove sets will be predominantly red with small white highlights. Black and silver has been removed.
The change is the first to the Canes uniforms since their relocation to North Carolina in 1997. The team's primary colors and logos remain the same on the new uniforms.
The new sweaters will be available for purchase in early September. Hurricanes' season ticket holders will have an opportunity to purchase before the general public.
