Canes release names of injured River Rats

The Carolina Hurricanes officially released the names of the players that were seriously injured in the Albany River Rats bus accident from early this morning.
According to the Hurricanes official media release:
“Forwards Joe Jensen and Nicolas Blanchard and defensemen Casey Borer and Jonathan Paiement remain hospitalized at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA., for treatment of injuries suffered during the accident, which occurred on the Massachusetts Turnpike just before 3:30 a.m. Team broadcaster John Hennessy also remains in the hospital. None of the injuries are considered life-threatening.
The American Hockey League has canceled the River Rats’ game that was scheduled for Friday against Bridgeport, and no makeup date has been set. A decision will be made on Friday as to whether Sunday’s scheduled match-up with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will be played.”
That is all the information released by the team at this time. Albany head coach Jeff Daniels will join the Insiders today at 3:12 to talk about the accident.
