    Look at the Canes record and you will see he is far from the best GM in hockey.

    Look at the Canes salary budget and you will see Jim Rutherford has been better than any GM in Hockey.

    Yes, I would agree that our drafts have been absolutely AWFUL............ But, to his defence, we have been to two Stanley Cup Finals and three conference finals (winning two), and have a Stanley Cup ring in the past 11 years. It is the years in between and not making the playofss that are very frustrating!!!!!

    It's quite obvious that Rutherford needs to go. He's been with the franchise since they were in Hartford. None of his teams have been particularly impressive aside from 1 year. This year after all the free agency pickups they're still looking at missing the playoffs again. I've heard people complain about the injury bug, but that wouldn't be near as much of an issue if they could draft decent talent. JR has a knack for awful early round draft picks.

    So what say ye, Canes fans? Fed up with it? Especially after the lockout?
