Carolina Hurricanes captain Rod Brind'Amour took part in practice this morning at the RBC Center. Brind'Amour has missed all of training camp after undergoing a minor procedure to remove cartilage from his left knee that was surgically repaired last season was relieved to be back on the ice. There is no date set for his return, but Brind'Amour did tell the media, "I'd like to get one game in just for timing, but if that doesn't happen it doesn't happen. The main thing is to get ready for when it counts."
The captain is also listening to the doctor’s advice, "They're more worried about my knee, so there's a big of a yin and yang thing going on. I listen to them for the most part." Brind’Amour said he doesn’t think about the knee when he is on the ice skating, just thinking about getting his game in order.
The Hurricanes play the Nashville Predators Thursday night in Nashville then rap up the pre-season Sunday afternoon at the RBC Center against the Predators.
