Canes earn two crucial points against Buffalo

Carolina topped the Buffalo Sabres in a shootout Thursday night, earning two critical points in the process.
Jussi Jokinen gave the Canes the 1-0 lead in the shootout and Cam Ward denied all three Buffalo chances, as the Hurricanes tallied their 68th and 68th points of the season.
