Canes' woes continue with 3-2 loss to Toronto

The Carolina Hurricanes still can't win.

The Canes had a 2-0 lead Friday night but collapsed in the second period and lost 3-2 to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Carolina still has only two wins this season after reaching the Eastern Conference finals last season.

The falling off in play after allowing a goal was really evident last night. Defensive zone spacing was horrible in the 2nd and 3rd periods, and the "standing around" mode was obvious. I'm sure they've heard that all before, and it's evident they are'nt correcting the problem. A shake up has to come soon, even if it is trading personnel for draft picks. The make up of the team needs to get younger and better, and getting draft picks is a good way to help with that. They can still right this ship and make the playoffs, but that has to begin soon.

Ok, it's official. We are now the worst team in the NHL.
It can only get better from here (we hope).
Thank god it's basketball season!

Penalties were not the problem tonight. We only had 2 and that one on Brindy was a bad call considering they didnt call the hook on LaRose earlier. Toronto has scored goals even in their loses. The difference they went to a kid goalie that is good and big, he won that game with the saves in the 2nd and 3rd period. The Canes play the last two games has been a lot better but just can not score goals. You can yell about Mo all you want but Mo can not score goals. Take a look at how many people have not scored on this team. We have no scoring!!! The chances have been there the last two games but we are not scoring. We fire Mo, who is out ther to bring in? Cant bring Lavy back? Melrose is not coming out of ESPN again? Think about how lucky we have been since the Canes have been here, nothing like this while other teams have had this bad play for years upon years. Do not stop supporting this team because this year is gone South. The future is still bright with the youth in Albany, this team is going to go from the oldest to one of the youngest next year and maybe sooner, because if they have not righted the ship by Dec. players like Whitney, Walker and Corvo will be gone and if we are that young it will take a year or two but look at how Washington is doing now! They went through this 4 years ago and they are very good.

What a bad team. I USED to have season tickets but they were so bad 2 years ago I stopped buying them. Last year I went to a few games but this year there is no way I would pay those high prices to see them. I won't even buy the tickets when we get offered them through Progress Energy at a slight discount, they are still too high to go see a horrible team like this. When they decide to write me a check to go then I might consider it.
