Ingram lands spot on NCCSIA All-State team

Durham, N.C. — After his spectacular senior season, Jeremy Ingram has garnered yet another postseason accolade, landing on the first team of the NCCSIA (North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association) All-State squad, the organization announced Tuesday.
The 2013-14 MEAC Player of the Year and MEAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player ended the season 17th in the country in scoring averaging 20.6 points per game. In the postseason, Ingram took his game to a whole new level averaging 28.0 points per contest in four postseason games, which is seventh in the nation in that category.
The 6-3 shooting guard scored a career-high 38 points on the road against Savannah State on Feb. 17 in NCCU’s first-ever win inside Tiger Arena, while sending shockwaves through the college basketball world with his 37 points against the Shockers of Wichita State.
Ingram ended his Eagle career with 1,525 points which tied him with David Binion (1978-81, 1982-83) for sixth all-time at NCCU. Ingram broke the single season record of free throws made with 216, and he is No. 1 all-time in free-throws made in a career with 437. The Charlotte, N.C. product also finished third all-time with 170 three-pointers made in four seasons.
