Former East Carolina head football coach Steve Logan will be inducted into the East Carolina University Athletics Hall of Fame Friday.
Logan, who was elected into the Hall of Fame last year, will be officially enshrined in an induction ceremony at the Pete and Lynn Murphy Center.
The former coach will be inducted alongside Slyvia Bragg (women’s basketball), Don Harris (men’s basketball), Tammy Putnam-Lenox (swimming and diving), Harold Rudolph (football), Carter Suggs (track and field) and David Garrad (football).
The seven members will be honored during halftime of the Pirates’ football game against Tulsa Saturday. They will also be recognized during halftime of ECU’s basketball game against NC Wesleyan Friday following the induction ceremonies.
Logan coached the Pirates from 1992-2002. He became the school’s all-time winning coach with a 69-58 overall record. Logan led ECU to five bowl games, one of which, the St. Jude Liberty Bowl, came after his 1995 team finished with a 9-3 record and a No. 23 ranking in the final AP poll.
