Senior Julian Suri fired a final round 74 to finish 22nd at the Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic on Tuesday. Suri concludes his fall with rounds of 70-70-74 at the prestigious event to finish at one over par. The 54-hole tournament has one of the nations' most competitive fields, including seven of the top fifty collegiate players according to the most recent golfing poll.

Beginning his final round on the tenth hole, Suri struggled out of the gate bogeying four of his first five holes but came back and strung together four pars to close out his front nine in 39. After making the turn, Suri opened the back nine with birdies on No. 1 and No. 3. After parring four consecutive holes, Suri dropped two shots when he double-bogeyed No. 8, but rebounded with a birdie on No. 9 to end his round with a 74.

Suri, a native of St. Augustine Fla., concludes his fall with a 71.5 stroke average, while tallying three top ten finishes in five tournaments including a victory at the Rod Myers Invitational. The 2012 PING NCAA All-American currently ranks fifth on Dukes all time list with a 72.49 career stroke average while claiming 53 career rounds at Duke of par or better including nine of his fifteen rounds this fall.

Kevin Penner of UNLV claimed the title at the Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic after posting a fourteen under 199. Sebastian Cappelen of Arkansas, Cory Whitsett of Alabama, Thomas Pieters of Illinois, and Corey Conners of Kent State round out the top five finishers respectively.

Duke is next slated to kick off the spring season at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla Feb. 24 – 26 2013.
