San Francisco, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Brandon Crawford drove in two runs as
the San Francisco Giants grabbed a 5-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in
the finale of a three-game series.
Michael Morse went 3-for-3 with two runs scored for the Giants, who have won
three of their last four.
"He's getting his timing back ... he's a good hitter," Giants manager Bruce
Bochy said of Morse.
Tim Lincecum (10-8) pitched five innings and gave up two runs on seven hits
with four walks and two strikeouts to win his first game since July 11.
Cody Asche was 3-for-3 with an RBI and Ben Revere also had three hits for the
Phillies, who have dropped five of six. David Buchanan (6-7) gave up three
runs -- two earned -- on nine hits with a walk and four strikeouts over 6 2/3
Jimmy Rollins walked with one out in the first and scored on Chase Utley's
triple, but the Giants answered in the second.
Morse and Andrew Susac singled before Crawford punched a single to right that
scored Morse. Marlon Byrd tried to get Susac at third on the play, but his
throw went wild and Susac scored for a 2-1 lead.
Asche drew a bases loaded walk in the third to force home a run and tie the
game, but the Giants grabbed the lead back in the fourth as Susac singled home
Morse for a 3-2 lead.
In the eighth, the Giants padded their lead on sacrifice flies from Crawford
and pinch-hitter Joaquin Arias.
Santiago Casilla pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for his 10th save of the season.
Lincecum's last action against the Phillies came on July 22, when he recorded
the final two outs of a 9-6 win in 14 innings to earn his first and only
career save ... The Giants hit the road for a three-game set in Chicago
starting on Tuesday ... Philly returns home to start a three-game series
against Seattle on Monday.
