Description: Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels has been on the trading block for a while now, but it appears that four teams have made offers, according to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe.
Insight: None have been accepted at this point, which means the bidding war starts now. Hamels was 9-9 last season, starting 30 games with a 2.46 ERA, 1.148 WHIP and 196 Ks. He's likely to end up on a playoff contender and his fantasy value should skyrocket with a better chance to win games and playing in a more pitcher-friendly ballpark.

Insight: Hamels has posted another great ERA this year (2.51), but it has not exactly resulted in a lot of victories. He is 8-7 with 178 strikeouts in 182 and 2/3 innings this season. He has not allowed more than three runs since May 26.

Insight: Hamels was removed after throwing 108 pitches over six innings. He struck out seven and walked five before Philadelphia's bullpen combined to strike out five over three perfect innings. After missing the first three weeks with a shoulder injury and recording a 7.02 ERA in his first three starts, Hamels has posted a 2.00 ERA, a 1.07 WHIP and a 151/45 K/BB over his last 152 2/3 innings while allowing three runs or less in 21 of his 22 starts during that span.
