Insight: Sanchez suffered a setback on Monday as he felt pain in his chest when he raised the intensity on his throws. The starter has been out with the strained right pectoral muscle since August 8. The Tigers desperately need him and are hoping he returns some time in September.

Robbie Ray, Detroit's top pitching prospect, will take Sanchez' spot in the rotation. He has a 3.72 ERA and a 71/40 K/BB in 96 2/3 innings with Triple-A Toledo this season, so he's not a fantasy option in most leagues.
