Orioles acquire RHP Brad Brach from Padres

Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - The Baltimore Orioles have acquired right- handed pitcher Brad Brach from the San Diego Padres in exchange for minor league pitcher Devin Jones.

In 33 games for the Padres this past season, Brach recorded a 3.19 ERA in 31 innings of relief work, giving up 11 earned runs while striking out 31. During his three year MLB tenure with the Padres, the 27-year old has gone 3-6 with a 3.70 ERA in 109 relief appearances.

Jones spent nearly all of the 2013 campaign with Double-A Bowie, going 4-7 with a 5.84 ERA in 24 starts. In three seasons in Baltimore's farm system, the 23-year old right-hander has gone 15-18 with a 4.47 ERA in 67 games (34 starts).
