San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - Michael Cuddyer's second home run of the game came in the ninth inning to help the Colorado Rockies take a 9-8 win over the San Francisco Giants in the second of a three-game set.

Cuddyer hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning, while DJ LeMahieu drove in a pair for the Rockies, who snapped a four-game skid.

Jorge De La Rosa lasted just two innings as he gave up four runs on four hits with three walks. Wilton Lopez (3-4) got the win despite giving up two runs in the eighth inning.

Ryan Vogelsong gave up five runs on eight hits over five innings in the start. Sergio Romo (4-7) gave up the home run to Cuddyer in the ninth to take the loss.

San Francisco had led 6-0 early in the game, but Colorado came roaring back and had an 8-6 lead before Pence tied the game in the bottom of the eighth with a two-run single.

Cuddyer, though, led off the ninth with his 20th home run of the season for a 9-8 advantage.

Rex Brothers stranded men on first and second in the ninth to pick up his 16th save of the season.

The Giants got on board in the first inning as Pence hit a three-run home run with two outs to give the team a 3-0 lead.

A Marco Scutaro RBI double in the second scored another run for the Giants, while Buster Posey added an RBI single and Pence followed with a run-scoring double in the fourth for a 6-0 lead.

Colorado, though, came charging back in the fifth to get back into the game. With men on second and third, Corey Dickerson and LeMahieu hit consecutive RBI singles. Two batters later, Cuddyer made it a 6-5 game with his 19th home run of the season.

In the sixth, Colorado went on top as Charlie Blackmon drove in a run with a double, then scored on Ryan Wheeler's pinch-hit RBI single for a 7-6 lead.

A sacrifice fly from LeMahieu in the eighth gave the Rockies an 8-6 lead, but Pence drove in two more runs in the eighth with a single to right that scored Scutaro and Brandon Belt.
