Insight: Paxton had a horrible start in his last outing, giving up eight earned runs in less than three innings, so this was a big bounce-back game for him. He finishes the regular season 6-4 with a 3.04 ERA in 13 starts. Paxton missed most of the first four months with a strained lat.

Insight: Paxton threw six innings and allowed one run on five hits with two Ks. The 25-year-old left-hander missed nearly four months with lat and shoulder injuries but is 3-0 with a 2.20 ERA, a 0.94 WHIP and a 24/6 K/BB in 28 2/3 innings on the year. He should be added in all leagues.

Insight: Paxton surrendered four hits and three runs before exiting. He's probably headed to the disabled list. Taijuan Walker, who is close to returning from a shoulder injury, is likely to absorb Paxton's place in the starting rotation.

Insight: So far, the September callup has done pretty well for himself. In two starts, opponents are only hitting .140 against him with eight strikeouts. Paxton's next start comes against the Tigers.
