Mudcats welcome singers for anthem tryout

— The Carolina Mudcats will hold open tryouts on Saturday, March 22, for singers interested in belting out the national anthem during a game this summer. Auditions will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. on the third base side of the stadium and will be first come first serve.

All performers – solo or groups β€“ who want to sing "The Star Spangled Banner" for the Mudcats during the 2014 season must try out on this date, including those who have sung in years past. All auditions must be sung a cappella. Singers will sing the National Anthem on the field as if it were a real game.

The Mudcats season opens at Five County Stadium April 4, 2014.
