Chicago to face South Korea in LLWS title game

South Williamsport, PA ( - Brandon Green hit the go- ahead RBI groundout as part of a three-run bottom of the fifth inning as Chicago rallied past Las Vegas, 7-5, on Saturday in the Little League World Series U.S. Championship Game.

South Korea cruised past defending champion Japan, 12-3, in the International Championship Game earlier on Saturday. Brad Stone cracked a two-run shot in the top of the fifth to give Las Vegas a 5-4 edge before the Jackie Robinson West All Stars answered in the home half.

Joshua Houston, who gave up five runs over five innings, including the go- ahead blast to Stone that left Houston in tears, tied the game with an RBI single. Following his RBI bouncer, Green later scored on an Austin Kryszczuk fielding error at second base to make it 7-5.

Las Vegas put runners on first and second with one away in the sixth, but Josiah Cromwick grounded into a game-ending double play.

The West Region champ Las Vegas had topped Chicago 13-2 on Aug. 17 and outscored its opponents 33-5 in its three victories in Williamsport prior to Saturday.
