NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Wednesday, November 13th (All times Eastern)

Charlotte Bobcats (3-4) at Boston Celtics (4-4), 7:30 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Boston Celtics are rolling and will resume a three- game homestand Wednesday versus the Charlotte Bobcats at TD Garden.

The Celtics have won four in a row since an 0-4 start and opened their homestand with a 120-105 victory over the Orlando Magic on Monday.

Avery Bradley led seven Celtics in double figures with 24 points, while Jordan Crawford totaled 16 points and 10 assists. Rookie Kelly Olynyk added 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting and reserves Jared Sullinger and Courtney Lee chipped in 14 and 12 points, respectively.

"We've made good strides, we've made the right strides, but we have a long way to go and there's a lot of things to improve," Celtics first-year head coach Brad Stevens said.

Boston will also host Portland on this homestand.

Charlotte has dropped two in a row since winning back-to-back games and will play Boston and Cleveland on the road.

In Monday's 103-94 loss versus Atlanta in the finale of a three-game homestand (1-2), Al Jefferson returned to the lineup after missing the last five games with an ankle sprain and scored 10 points in 27 minutes.

Josh McRoberts had a team-high 19 points on 5-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc for Charlotte. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist added 16 points in the loss.

"We had a solid first half. Came out in the third quarter with absolutely nothing, disorganized at both ends of the floor and that was the difference in the game," said Bobcats coach Steve Clifford on his team's performance coming out of halftime.

Clifford returned to the bench on Monday night after missing Friday's game against the New York Knicks. He had a procedure which placed two stents in his heart.

Clifford complained of chest pains Thursday night and checked into the hospital. The procedure occurred on Friday and Patrick Ewing took Clifford's spot in the loss to his former squad.

Charlotte and Boston split four meetings last season. The Celtics have won five of seven and 14 of the last 19 matchups in this series.

The Bobcats have dropped three straight, eight of nine and 13 of the 16 meetings in Beantown.
