NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Wednesday, February 26th (All times Eastern)

Golden State Warriors (35-22) at Chicago Bulls (30-26), 8 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - The start of another lengthy road trip for the Golden State Warriors was a success and they will resume the six-game trek Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.

The Warriors have won four in a row, including Tuesday's 104-96 victory over the Detroit Pistons. They were led by 19 points from both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, while Jermaine O'Neal had 16 and 10 rebounds. O'Neal is filling in for David Lee, who is out with an illness and questionable Wednesday.

Jordan Crawford scored 15 points off the bench and Andrew Bogut returned from a balky shoulder to record four points and seven rebounds. Bogut saw his first action since Feb. 4 versus Charlotte.

"These are the ones I prefer for us to win now. It teaches us how to win when it's not going well for us, when we're not making all the threes and the flashy plays," O'Neal explained. "We don't have a whole lot of playoff experience on this roster, so they don't necessarily know what it takes to win it all. Games like this are teaching us how to win it all."

Golden State is 17-12 away from Oracle Arena and will also visit New York, Toronto, Indiana and Boston on the trip. The Warriors, who are sixth in the West and averaging 103.3 ppg this season, went an NBA-best 6-1 on their last trek from Dec. 29 - Jan. 8.

The Warriors, winners in eight of 11 games overall, have a record of .500 or better in seven of the past 10 road trips of at least three games. They are 27-4 this season when holding teams under 100 points and have held 17 opponents to fewer than 90 points this season, their most since 2005-06 (18).

Chicago, the fourth seed in the East, was able to get back into the win column with Tuesday's 107-103 triumph in Atlanta.

Kirk Hinrich sealed the win at the foul line after the Hawks took a 103-101 lead on a DeMarre Carroll 3-pointer and finished with 14 points. Taj Gibson also scored 14 points in a reserve role and Mike Dunleavy led Chicago with 22 points. Joakim Noah posted 20 points and 12 rebounds, as the Bulls rebounded from a road loss at Miami that halted a five-game win streak.

Carlos Boozer recorded 17 points and 11 rebounds, and the Bulls took advantage of an Atlanta team playing without forward Paul Millsap.

"It's not about them. It's about us. We have injuries, too. We're just trying to find a way," Noah said of a Hawks team also fighting for the playoffs. "(The Hawks) really wanted that game today, and we really wanted that game today. It wasn't pretty at times, but I'm just happy to come out with the win."

The Bulls, who are already without star point guard Derrick Rose (knee), didn't have swingman Jimmy Butler Tuesday because of bruised ribs. Butler is day-to-day and averaging 12.4 points this season.

Chicago is 18-8 since New Year's Day and 16-10 at home. It has won three straight games at the United Center.

The Bulls suffered a 102-87 loss in Golden State on Feb. 6, as Curry pumped in 34 points on 13-of-19 shooting and added nine assists in that one. Chicago is still 7-4 in the last 11 matchups with the Warriors, losers in four straight, 10 of 11 and 16 of the last 19 trips to the Windy City.
