NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Monday, November 25th (All times Eastern)

Phoenix Suns (7-6) at Miami Heat (10-3), 7:30 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Miami Heat have won six straight and will try to extend that streak to seven Monday night when they welcome the Phoenix Suns to AmericanAirlines Arena.

The two-time defending champs haven't faltered since a shocking home loss to the Boston Celtics on Nov. 9. Miami has taken nine of its last 10 and is one of five teams with double-digit wins in the season.

Miami's most recent victory was hard-earned. LeBron James made a jumper to give the Heat a 101-99 win at home over the Orlando Magic, who led most of the game on Saturday.

"The play wasn't executed the best," James said of his winning shot, which came with 15.1 seconds left. "They kind of read what we were going to do, but I was just able to pop free."

Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 27 points, followed by James, who had 22 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals. Chris Bosh chipped in 15 points.

The Heat have been magnificent on offense. They are fourth in the NBA in scoring at 106.6 ppg and have topped the 100-point mark in 12 of 13 games this season.

The Suns are 2-0 on this current road trip, which will end on Monday night. Phoenix knocked off the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday night, then toppled the Magic, 104-96 on Sunday.

Against Orlando, the Suns took a 10-point lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Phoenix only committed nine turnovers in the victory Sunday and the bench was solid.

Marcus Morris had 16 points for the second unit while his twin brother, Markieff, scored 12.

"Marcus and Markieff played well," head coach Jeff Hornacek said. "They gave us some good minutes in the second half. Our bench as a whole played pretty good. We put a lot on all of our players because we think they are pretty good; we expect them to play well every night."

Goran Dragic was great with 23 points and 13 assists. Gerald Green scored 20 points, while Channing Frye added 14 points.

Eric Bledsoe missed his fourth straight game with a left shin contusion. He is listed as day-to-day.

The Heat have won six in a row over Phoenix and eight of their last 12 at home against the Suns.
