NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Monday, February 10th (All times Eastern)

Philadelphia 76ers (15-37) at Golden State Warriors (30-21), 10:30 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia 76ers don't have much time to dwell on their recent debacle and will resume a three-game western swing Monday against the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena.

Philadelphia was ice cold from the start in Sunday's 123-78 disaster to the Los Angeles Clippers, who welcomed the return of star point guard Chris Paul and scored the first 13 points of the game. The Clippers led 46-15 after the first quarter, 62-21 in the second after dunks by Blake Griffin and 89-33 late in the third quarter.

The Sixers actually had a 27-23 advantage in the final stanza, but had no chance to avoid a sixth consecutive loss. It was the widest margin of victory in Clippers franchise history.

"We ran into a buzz saw. We got jumped early and didn't respond. It's not an easy thing to go through. Give them credit for their defensive intensity." said Sixers coach Brett Brown.

Philly made 27 percent from the floor, 3-of-28 3-pointers and was led by Tony Wroten's 21 points off the bench. Thaddeus Young and Michael Carter-Williams netted 15 and 14 points, respectively, and Young grabbed 11 rebounds for the 76ers, who are only 3-16 since winning a season-high four in a row from Dec. 29 - Jan. 4.

The Sixers are winless in their last three road games, 7-19 as the guest and will close the western jaunt Wednesday against the Utah Jazz.

Meanwhile, Golden State has lost two of its last three games, including Saturday's 122-109 setback at Phoenix.

Still without big men Andrew Bogut (shoulder) and David Lee (shoulder/hip), Steph Curry picked up the scoring slack again with 28 points and handed out nine assists. Curry, though, was scoreless in the fourth quarter.

Harrison Barnes scored 23 points, Klay Thompson had 17 on his 24th birthday and Andre Iguodala netted 12 points for the Warriors.

Goran Dragic scored a career-high 34 points on 10-of-13 shooting and dished out 10 assists for the Suns, who shot 53.8 percent for the game and made 11- of-21 3-pointers. Gerald Green ended with 25 points for Phoenix, which led by as many as 14 in the third quarter and closed the game on a 20-9 run.

"You have to give them credit for shooting so well. They're a good offensive team, they spread you out and make plays. Dragic really got going," said Warriors coach Mark Jackson.

Bogut and Lee are both questionable for Monday, and Jackson will most likely use Draymond Green and veteran Jermaine O'Neal again inside versus the Sixers.

Thompson, meanwhile, will compete in his 200th consecutive game Monday for a Warriors squad that is slated to play two straight and four of five games at Oracle Arena. The Warriors are 15-9 in Oakland and defeated Philadelphia 110-90 on Nov. 4 in the City of Brotherly Love.

Iguodala poured in 32 points against his former team behind a personal-best seven 3-pointers, while Curry recorded a triple-double of 18 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds. The Warriors, though, have lost six of the previous nine meetings with Philadelphia.

The Sixers are just 3-9 in the last 12 visits to Golden State.
