NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Wednesday, February 12th (All times Eastern)

Miami Heat (36-14) at Golden State Warriors (31-21), 10:30 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Golden State Warriors hope to have some points left in them from their recent victory when they host the Miami Heat Wednesday.

The Warriors pounded the visiting Philadelphia 76ers, 123-80, on Monday behind a career-high 32 points on 12-of-15 shooting by former Sixer Marreese Speights.

"I thought he was fabulous," Golden State head coach Mark Jackson said of Speights. "He's been working extremely hard. He waited for his opportunity and took full advantage of it."

All-Star Stephen Curry had 23 points and eight assists, while David Lee tallied 13 points and 13 rebounds. Another former Sixer, Andre Iguodala, and both Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes all scored 11 points for Golden State, which shot 48.9 percent and scored 25 points off 17 Philly turnovers.

It was the Warriors' largest win since a 43-point victory over Orlando in 2002. They led by as many as 49 points and the bench scored 59 points.

The Warriors have won five of their last eight games and have a 16-9 record at Oracle Arena this season. In injury news for Golden State, center Andrew Bogut will miss another game Wednesday because of a shoulder issue.

Meanwhile, the Heat will resume their six-game western jaunt Wednesday and are 2-1 so far on the trip with victories over the Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns sandwiched around a loss against the Utah Jazz.

In Tuesday's 103-97 win against the Suns, the two-time defending champion Heat were led by superstar LeBron James, who tallied 37 points, nine rebounds and five steals. Chris Bosh added 21 points and eight rebounds for Miami, which has won seven of its last nine games.

Dwyane Wade missed the game due to a migraine headache and is questionable against the Warriors.

"We played a lot of new lineups tonight, but that's what it's about on the road. You just have to find a way," said Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, who is now four wins shy of 300 in his career.

Miami will visit Golden State before the All-Star break, then will make stops in Dallas and Oklahoma City. The Heat are 16-10 as the guest this season.

The Heat lost at home to Golden State on Jan. 2, when they dropped a 123-114 decision. Curry made 8-of-15 3-pointers for 36 points and Lee ended with 32 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in that one.

James and Wade scored 26 and 22 points, respectively, for Miami, which has lost three of the last four meetings with the Warriors.
