NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Tuesday, December 3rd (All times Eastern)

Milwaukee Bucks (3-13) at Boston Celtics (7-12), 7:30 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Milwaukee Bucks finally ended their season-long 11- game losing streak and look for back-to-back wins for the first time in 2013-14 in a road matchup against the Boston Celtics.

The Bucks put the brakes on the slide with Saturday's 92-85 victory over the Celtics in the opener of a home-and-home set at the Bradley Center, where O.J. Mayo scored 22 points and Brandon Knight added 20 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.

"It feels good to get that monkey off your back. It really does. Especially the way we did it. Shorthanded as we were and playing some guys out of position," said Bucks coach Larry Drew.

John Henson tallied a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds for Milwaukee, who prevailed for the first time since Nov. 6 versus Cleveland and last won two in a row from March 17-19 of last season.

"We had some guys I thought really stepped up tonight," Drew said. "John Henson had himself a great game, Brandon (Knight) was really good tonight ... and O.J. (Mayo) ... and Giannis (Antetokounmpo) came in and really gave us a big lift in that first half."

Milwaukee had a 28-14 advantage in the second quarter after the Celtics raced out to a 27-19 lead after 12 minutes of play. A big 18-2 run during the game spearheaded the Bucks' surge to finally end the skid and taste victory for the first time in almost a month.

The Bucks, though, are 1-7 on the road and have lost six straight away from the Bradley Center. Their only road win came in a 105-98 decision at Boston on Nov. 1 behind a tremendous bench effort led by Zaza Pachulia's 20 points. The Bucks had 66 bench points in that one, while Boston amassed 34 points.

Boston was led by Jared Sullinger's 21 points and 14 rebounds in the recent loss to the Bucks and both Jeff Green and Jordan Crawford scored 18 points.

"We moved the ball against the zone and attacked where we wanted to," Celtics coach Brad Stevens said. "We just didn't make as many as we wanted to."

The Celtics had won three of four games since a six-game slide and will play two straight and seven of their next nine games at TD Garden.

Boston is 3-5 in Beantown this season and 0-2 so far against Milwaukee. The Celtics will visit Milwaukee on Feb. 10 and have lost four in a row and five of the last six matchups between the teams.

Milwaukee has won three straight after losing its last four at Boston.
