NBA Game Summary - Memphis at Miami

(Friday, March 21st)

Final Score: Miami 91, Memphis 86

Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - LeBron James had 15 points, seven assists and six rebounds and the Miami Heat defeated the Memphis Grizzlies, 91-86, on Friday night.

The Heat closed the game on a 14-2 run.

James, who sat out Wednesday's loss to the Boston Celtics due to back spasms, finished 7-of-14 from the field. Ray Allen netted 18 points off the bench, while Dwyane Wade netted eight of his 14 in the final frame for Miami, which has won three of its last four but are still just 4-6 over its last 10.

Zach Randolph tallied 25 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Grizzlies, who had won six of their last seven contests coming in.

"Overall we played good we just couldn't make shots toward the end," Randolph remarked. "It was a couple plays that determined the game."

Back-to-back buckets by Mike Conley and Courtney Lee staked Memphis to an 84-77 lead with 4:08 remaining before Miami used its surge to go in front.

Allen knocked down a triple, James drove in for a layup and Wade's offensive rebound and putback knotted the tilt at 84-84 with 1:32 left. Wade hit two free throws on Miami's next trip down the floor and after Randolph turned the ball over, James nailed a jumper to make it 88-84 with 24.8 ticks to go.

Conley drove in for a layup at the other end, but Allen's dunk with 14.1 seconds on the clock sealed the outcome.

"He's just playing well. He's playing with a lot of confidence," Wade said of Allen.

Earlier, the Grizzlies closed the opening frame on a 7-2 spurt and took a 22-15 advantage into the second, where Miami outscored them 30-21 and led 45-43 at the break.

The game was tied 68-68 after three.
