NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Wednesday, January 22nd (All times Eastern)

Detroit Pistons (17-24) at Milwaukee Bucks (7-33), 8 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - The reeling Milwaukee Bucks hope to end their lengthy losing streak Wednesday versus the Detroit Pistons at the Bradley Center.

The Bucks are mired in a nine-game losing streak and are winless in the new year. The woes continued with Sunday's 110-82 loss at San Antonio, as Brandon Knight netted 21 points and John Henson added 10 with 11 rebounds.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Larry Sanders scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the Bucks, who shot 37.5 percent. The Bucks only committed eight turnovers.

The Spurs shot 56.6 percent from the field, made 11-of-18 from beyond the arc and outrebounded the Bucks, 55-37.

"It's the way they play," said Bucks guard Gary Neal, who spent the first three years of his career in San Antonio. "They move the ball. They make the right play, and they hit the open shot."

Milwaukee's last win was on New Year's Eve against the Los Angeles Lakers. It will try to stop a four-game home losing streak Wednesday and owns a 3-15 mark at the Bradley Center.

In injury news for the Bucks, guards O.J. Mayo (illness) and Luke Ridnour (wrist), forward Caron Butler (illness) and center Larry Sanders (illness) are all questionable versus Detroit.

Detroit had won three of four games until sustaining a 112-103 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

Rodney Stuckey scored 29 points on 11-of-20 shooting and Josh Smith finished with 24 points in defeat. Andre Drummond tallied 15 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the Pistons, who lost despite shooting 50.6 percent from the field and scoring 28 points off 19 L.A. turnovers.

"Josh was playing well and Stuckey obviously was playing well. Even if we didn't get as many shots from other people, we have to get other folks to take shots and to make some shots," Pistons head coach Maurice Cheeks said.

Detroit led 28-26 after a quarter of play, but the Clippers began to pull away early in the second. The Clippers took an 86-69 lead later on.

Drummond, who has 30 double-doubles, needs five points for 1,000 in his young career, while Stuckey is 51 points shy of 6,000.

The Pistons are 10-10 away from The Palace and have beaten Milwaukee twice already this season. They are 6-2 in the past eight matchups between the Central foes and have won three in a row at the Bradley Center.
