NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Tuesday, December 3rd (All times Eastern)

Oklahoma City Thunder (12-3) at Sacramento Kings (4-11), 10 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Oklahoma City Thunder will carry a seven-game winning streak into a western trip Tuesday night, starting against the Sacramento Kings.

The Thunder last lost on the west coast, a 116-115 setback Nov. 14 against the Golden State Warriors. Six of the seven victories during this stretch came at home.

"We just tried to take it one game at a time," said Kevin Durant, the Western Conference Player of the Week. "We didn't try to look too far down the line. It was very fortunate that we were able to be home for almost two weeks and to be able to protect our home floor. It was a good stretch and now it's time to take it on the road."

The Thunder, who are just 3-3 on the road this season, will also visit the Portland Trail Blazers and New Orleans Pelicans during this quick jaunt.

OKC's latest victory came Sunday when they knocked off the Minnesota Timberwolves, 113-103.

Durant was magnificent in the Wolves victory. He finished with a triple-double of 32 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds, but also added four steals and four blocks. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, he is the first player to record 30-plus points, 10 or more rebounds, 12-plus assists with four or more steals and four more blocks in the same game since blocks and steals became official stats in the 1970s.

"I was aggressive to score and to pass and just trying to make the right basketball play," Durant said. "My teammates made me look good a few times when I threw bad passes, and everybody stepped up tonight."

Russell Westbrook added 19 points, followed by 18 from Reggie Jackson off the bench and 15 and three blocks from Serge Ibaka.

The Kings have lost four in a row, including two straight at home to the L.A. Clippers and Golden State Warriors. They finish off a homestand Friday night with the Lakers in town.

Against the Warriors on Sunday, Isaiah Thomas drove the length of the floor with the Kings down two and 8.6 seconds on the clock. Andrew Bogut came to help Klay Thompson and sent the layup attempt off the backboard, then recovered the rebound and launched the ball into the air as the horn sounded.

DeMarcus Cousins led the way with 24 points for the Kings. Marcus Thornton scored 21 off the bench and Thomas finished with 19. Patrick Patterson chipped in 18 as the Sacramento bench tallied 65 points.

Things certainly don't get any easier Tuesday with the Thunder in town.

"Very talented team and we'll have our hands full," head coach Mike Malone said of his opponent on Tuesday.

The Thunder have won six straight and 12 of the last 13 against the Kings. OKC has taken six of eight in Sacramento.
